The Coaching Essentials Level 1 Workshop is derived from Module 1 of our Flagship “Coaching Excellence” Programme and is designed as an introduction to coaching, covering the essential elements and skills to become a better coach. Participant numbers are limited to 8 per workshop to allow for maximum practice and personalised observation and feedback. Managers emerge from this online virtual instructor led workshop with practical tools and triggers that enable them to immediately raise individual and team performance.

Meet the facilitator

Paul Coombes

Paul is an experienced coach and trainer with a background in retail management, customer services and procurement spanning over 20 years, including leadership roles with Budgens Retail and the John Lewis Partnership. His passion for coaching started in 2010 when developing his leadership skills for his own retail businesses, before joining CEQ in 2020 as Associate Director. He is an integral member of the team, delivering CEQ’s flagship Open Leadership Programme ‘Coaching Excellence’, as well as coaching a number of clients ranging from SME Directors to Senior Managers in FTSE100 Companies. Paul has a consultative coaching style, balancing compassion with challenge, while supporting clients to fulfil their goals and to reach their full potential. He is a member of Association for Coaching (AC) and International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP) and regularly attends CPD workshops and seminars to keep himself in touch with current coaching trends.
