Gareth has an outstanding track record as CFO, CEO and Chairman in both public and private companies, including private equity. He is a highly sought after consultant working in major corporations around the world; one of the UK’s top Executive Coaches (200+ senior executives including FTSE100 and Fortune 500) and the designer of class leading management training programmes (5000+ managers across 25 countries). Gareth is an acknowledged expert on corporate cultures and corporate psychology, regularly lecturing and presenting on leadership, cultural change and coaching, and travelling extensively across the world to research new leadership models and transformation processes.
Rachel Young
Partner
Rachel is a qualified and highly experienced Integrative Psychotherapist who uses aspects of Gestalt, Existentialist and Transactional Analysis modalities in her work and is a specialist in addictive behaviours and group dynamics. Her appetite for continual learning, research and refinement of her approach and her interventions keeps Rachel at the leading edge of mental healthcare in the ever growing need for solutions in this field. Rachel’s contributes to CEQ with her deep understanding of individual and group behaviour within corporate cultures and teams - in designing interventions that work on the fundamental psychology of sustainable behaviour change.
James Gaby

James recently joined the CEQ team as a highly respected and results-driven sales leader with over 30 years of experience, driving significant growth across both PLCs and SMEs. He has held senior commercial roles in high-performing organisations, led successful business start-ups, and executed a major turnaround of a mid-sized company. In recent years, James has become a sought-after consultant, advising a diverse range of businesses on strategy, culture, and building high-performing teams. He is also a trusted coach and mentor to a growing portfolio of executive clients, supporting them through complex leadership challenges, sustainable growth, and significant organisational change.
Martyn Haworth
Director - Executive Development
Martyn has a critical and unique balance of a hugely successful commercial operator, with the skills and processes of an expert coach and trainer. He joined CEQ in 2013 and his recent work has included consulting for companies including Google, Total Produce, Centrica, GE Healthcare and Dr Martens. Martyn regularly delivers CEQ’s ‘Coaching Excellence’ and ‘Coaching Masterclass’ training programmes in addition to our Leadership Development course. He also provides 1:1 Executive coaching and is a sought-after facilitator for board meetings and management team off-sites. His other fields of expertise include managing change, influencing skills, and creating high performing teams.
Paul Coombes
Associate Director
Paul is an experienced coach, mentor, and leadership training facilitator with over 25 years in retail, e-commerce, and procurement, including founding and managing his own businesses in retail and education services. As well as driving our business development strategy and managing all of our digital media and marketing content, Paul also provides 1:1 Executive coaching and regularly delivers and facilitates leadership training programmes. His other area of interest is neurodivergent coaching and as an accredited Executive Function (ADHD) Coach he actively engages in ongoing CPD to stay at the forefront of current coaching methodologies and neurodiversity research.

Mike is the founder of the University of Toyota – a corporate university he launched in 1998 and led for a decade of differentiating performance. Mike’s passion centers on helping leaders and organizations reach their highest potential. His research has helped organisations grow by developing the necessary leadership & culture capabilities. These insights have been documented in two popular books (Leading Through Meaning‘03 and The Other Side of the Card ‘06) and a wide range of publications including the Harvard Business Review. Mike has designed, developed, and managed dozens of cutting edge business growth & development programs and represents CEQ services Internationally.
